By the help of an epic monument, you can lure the most powerful, legendary monsters of the planet to challenge them and get their fabulous artifacts. After the construction of the monument, you can use the Epic battle button on the clan page. Level 2 of this building makes it possible to challenge entities (solo-epics, from level 30).
The Epic battles work in a similar way to the Dimension gate battles, with the first epic being level 50, then when the item is sold in the treasury, a new, stronger epic will come. However, the epic monsters have much more stamina, requiring several hits to take it down. Not only does it have a lot of HP, it also regenerates HP over time, meaning you must co-ordinate with your alliance to take it down over a short period of time. The first few epics can be the hardest, but once you gain access to the Epic specialization skill, just a few dedicated players can take them down easily.
If the treasury level is higher enough (16+) you are able to call back previously defeated epics. To do this, a vote must be held in the treasury by a player who has at least 5 votes in a clan. After defeating the recalled epic, the bidding time is significantly extended from the normal time, with the formula being: 250-(treasury level*5) + (number of consecutive epics recalled-1)*24
Epic monsters always come in a different order. The item they drop depends on their level (go to the entity page to see the bands). After level 160, instead of 10 epics per new band, it becomes 20, where you have to kill 2 epics of the same level to get a higher level epic.
