Each of your trained pets will get a new button, practice. Clicking it your pet will go practice for a maximum of 2 hours per level of kennel (but no more than 48 hrs), and gets XP matching this, it's morale will not decrease during this time. The intelligent pet skill does increase the XP pets receive from the kennel, as does pet equipment. The formula for the experience received through the kennel is quite complicated:

XP received = (10 + x) * (1 + (i * 0.03)) * h * (1 + ((k - 1) * 0.01))

• x = bonus XP from pet equipment
• i = intelligent pet skill level
• h = how many lots of 2 hours is the pet sent in the kennel for (so for 48 hours, h = 24)
• k = kennel level

Pet skills

If the kennel is at least level 25, your pets will be rewarded with skill points when they level up. The number of skill points depends on the level of the kennel

• Kennel 25: 1 skill point per level up
• Kennel 33: 2 skill points per level up
• Kennel 41: 3 skill points per level up
• Kennel 49: 4 skill points per level up

However, the number of skill points a pet can have is limited by it's base level. If it's base level is 40, it can have 40 skill points. If it's base level is 60, it can have 60 skill points. You can then invest these skill points individually for each pet into things like critical hit, epic bite, anti-theft etc. For a full list and description of skills for pets, see the pets page.
